CATTITUDES – IN THE DOG HOUSE AND NEW WORK OUT OF THE GARDEN STUDIO

I am back after a break … the thing is I have been patiently waiting for Kristine to finish her new still life pieces set for Melbourne. These six new works are in a much lighter palette than she usually uses but they are still filled with colour. She’s ramping up the Fragmatism style now that it’s officially registered. Her new favourite colours are Raw Umber and Sap Green. She says I should think like Guillaume Apollinaire, and he said ‘Color is the fruit of life.’ But I don’t like fruit and I am more of a monotone cat! She … Continue reading

CATTITUDES – FIRST IMPRESSIONS FOR THE YEAR – 1 FEB 2017

I am back. Kristine and I are back in the studio making fresh new pieces! I was informed that Fiji was fantastic and that there was some other cat masquerading as me over there too! I am sure they were no substitute. What would they know about art anyway? So here I am working hard at doing research for Kristines next group show. The Cigar Box Show is a group show, inspired by the Australian Impressionists and their love for the Australian landscape, fleeting colour and light. Artists Tom Roberts, Charles Conder, Arthur Streeton and Fred McCubbin where considered leaders … Continue reading

CATTITUDES WITH GRATITUDE – 21 DEC 2016

We made it. Our first year of living the artist’s life. This year was the big leap into self sufficiency as an artist. Juggling a lot of balls to keep the show rolling hasn’t been easy but the rewards are priceless. I get more treats now Kristine spends more time in the studio and way more pats. Apparently I have to trade pats for photo opportunities. And you can see how excited I am about this in the pic (NOT). I have kept my eyebrows on more this year too, as I have a guardian in the backyard now and the other cats … Continue reading

Packing it with Postcards

STUDIO CATTITUDES – 7 DEC 2016 It appears that Kristine is very excited about her new postcards showing her Fiji works. There is 13 in the set and she plans to put them in the gift shop at the Koro Sun Resort and Rainforest Spa along with some of her other lines in the ‘Tropic Paradise’ range. Kristine will be teaching art classes and getting on with creating some new artworks using her ‘fragmatism’ painting style during January 2017 at the resort. 13 Views of Savusavu features the vibrant tropical colours and locations you will discover on the Fijian Island of … Continue reading

STRETCHING MY PATIENCE – STUDIO CATTITUDES – 9 NOV 2016

Turns out Kristine has decided to put me to work! It appears I make her new designer collection quite good. It is all very tedious when I just could be sleeping. This week she wanted me to show you how the leggings and hand towel would make a great little Chrissy pack for those fit bodies and Yoga addicts. I don’t really understand all that get up you humans do just to stretch…I prefer freestyling myself. Still if you want to look tropical doing it there here’s the stuff to do it! Products available on Society6. LEGGINGS (If you are a Aussie size … Continue reading
